Do you want to learn more about the amazing diversity of frogs in Australia and how they are threatened by climate change and pollution?
Art-based citizen scientist, Sharon Ridsdale, will share her journey of discovery about what's happening to the frogs in her backyard. She will present her thesis with images and videos that will show you the beauty and importance of frogs as the barometer of our environment. But that's not all! You will also get to participate in a hands-on workshop where you can colour your own frog from a handout that includes information and examples of different species. You will also contribute to a community canvas of Aussie frogs that will be displayed at the The Art House. This event is suitable for all ages and skill levels. It's a great way to express your creativity, learn something new, and support a good cause. Don't miss this chance to shine the light onto the face of extinction! Date and time to be advised. |
The Crud Muffins will be facilitating the creation of a collaborative artwork titled ‘Safe Cat, Safe Wildlife’ to be donated to and installed at the Walkabout Wildlife Park for use as an eye-catching educational resource which also brightens the sanctuary grounds.
The banner above was facilitated at Woytopia 2022 and painted by visitors to the 'CRUD Space' at the event, who ended up predominantly being real little ones. |
Each of these works displayed here by Natika Nezlington, had 40 to 100+ contributors involved to create the pieces, celebrating the beauty of what we can create when we work harmoniously together! The Charmhaven Lions and the Tuggerah Lakes Arts Society have been working in partnership for a number of months to bring this exhibition to fruition. The Lions have the Environment as one of their founding pillars all over the world. They hope that this Art Exhibition and Activities will highlight the Environment to the local communities and show that everyone can be involved.
The Charmhaven Lions have organised to pay for the printing of raffle tickets. TLAS and Your Guide Central Coast have done a wonderful job in organising the prizes. Proceeds will go to Walkabout Wildlife Park Calga. The San Remo Mens Shed are building a Wishing Well for the Walkabout Wildlife Park and it will be decorated by The Crud Muffins. Tassin and Bernard, the owners of the Walkabout Wildlife Park, are very thankful for all the support given by the Charmhaven Lions and the Tuggerah Lakes Arts Society through a difficult time. |
