OUR MISSION: TO PROMOTE, DEVELOP AND ENCOURAGE ART AND CRAFT ON THE CENTRAL COAST.

The Tuggerah Lakes Art Society was founded in 1989 by the late Robert Doyle. Robert had a love of the outback, having been horse breaking and droving throughout central Queensland and Arnhem Land. Extremely talented, and versatile in several mediums. His love for painting and generosity in sharing what he knew with others made him well liked and very popular. His family established the annual "Robert Doyle Memorial Prize," awarded to the best "Bush Painting" by an Art Society member. For a full biography see the Robert Doyle Memorial Page
The Tuggerah Lakes Art Society sees itself in the role of fostering the development of painting in mediums such as oils, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, line and wash as well as drawing in pencil, charcoal etc. The Society is known for its friendly, cheerful atmosphere where everyone wants to learn more about art. We welcome anyone who is interested to drop in to a monthly meeting or painting session to see who we are and what we do.
